Alrighty!! So in case anyone hasn't notice it's 2015!! Holy smokes right? I totally need to update the header graphic on this thing. Yikes! Glad everyone made it and heres to all the jacked up projects and awesome creations the año brings.
I haven't had an update in a min cause quite honestly Ive been busy crafting! My craft supplies have been taking a beating in the greatest ways possible so sit back as I share a lil bit of the haps here in the first of my la la craftlandia adventures.

My honeybear surprised me with these sweet babies!! And yes, homeboy has a pistol in his hand. Highlarious! Picked up from some SUPER UNBELIVEABLY cool thrift store for $15, they also came with two other homies, but they were getting untangled at pic time. Look out for them because these foos may have more to offer than meets the ojo! ;)

Lets talk about some crappy baking thats been going on in my neck of the woods. Schweet big bouncing baby Jesus what the HELL has been going on in my kitchen???!!!
First off, I tried that damn make-dessert-cookie-cups-with-ur-muffin-tin post I've been seeing around lately and yeah... not this time Pinterest, NOT THIS TIME. The hubby looked at me like: Is that how their supposed to look? I looked back at him like STFU Let ME Figure THIS out... K? Thanks.
All I'm going to say is that I now have a jar of dessert toppings.

Then it turned into a curse that lasted about a week. Every baking session a failure. WTF. I call these Rubles, cause like their namesake, these muffins just continued to fall... Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. They still tasted good tho. A different texture that no one seemed to mind. Rubles: Coming to Juan Tuff Muff 2015!!

Back to projects I know I can't really fail at: Mijo LOVES him some hydraulics, so naturally we needed to give him a shirt that represented his 5 yr old passion. Safe to say, I'll probably never do this again because cutting by hand is a pain in the culo and can really start messing with your vision after sitting for hours on end. Pero anything for lil Mr. Man and his smile, which of course was guaranteed by the end of it.

Next Up: Girl Wheels. I dunno about you but have you ever wondered why its gotta be such a MotherFer 2 find girl Hot Wheels at the store? My boys have every style imaginable yet my Mija only has a handful to call her own. Now, I get it. She prefers the color ranges of Pinks and Purples but thats not to say that she wouldn't readily accept a pimped out Winter Blue FROZEN-inspired Van.
Peep game:

These cars were donations from the boys and while their thoughtfulness was much appreciated the toys themselves weren't in the greatest of condition, but I think they came out pretty decent. I didn't put too much time in these, though I think that if I did I probably could really show out! I was too excited with Mija's reaction and all the possibilities to be had. The boys saw the end product and were inspired themselves... meaning the donation pile dried up quickly. :)

I don't have any more examples because my focused switched to a different project altogether. Mija's Bday was coming up with the quickness and she loves customized stuff! All of 3 yrs old and just like her Mama!

Boy if Armour Etch knew how much I love them... If Michaels coupons knew how I much I love them... or Joanns!!! (I'm winking while typing this hoping you see a sign in that...)
Birthday time came and my princess needed a cake that was fitting. I've never done anything like this before so I just want to say mad Kudos to the bakers out there who do this shit everyday! OMG! Not to mention, I was trying to be as budget-friendly as possible by making my own marshmallow fondant... Ooooooooowweeee!!! THIS IS NOT A GAME!

I basically Pinterested my way through this one and for the most part nothing too bad to say. I sourced the princess topper from a kids bathing set. It was attached to a body loofah sponge ball thing. It was literally the perfect size. And while there are tutorials on how to make the cake this shape, I just headed out to Joanns and picked up the Wilton's Dress Cake Mold and used one of their badass coupons (*wink*wink*)! $10!!!! STEAL OF A DEAL! I think next time purchasing pre made fondant might just be better. The marshmallow fondant was hella thick and so sugary! My teeth wanted to run from my mouth. Also, the whole frosting with plastic bags thing, sucks! And its like this for me EVERY time. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. The seams ALWAYS seem to bust and the sweetness always ends up everywhere but on the cake. I tried my best though :) I'm gonna have to remind Mija of the blood, sweat and tears that went into her 3rd birthday cake for years to come. But who knows whats up for next year!!! I love these babies so Freak! Anything Can Happen!
Before I lose your attention or in case these lil projects have inspired you, I'm gonna end this post here. I got a lot more goings on that I will share in a Part 2 of The Haps for 2015. Thanks to all those that stop by and check out this blog or my store. MUCHOOOOOOO LOVE to my ETSY Customers!!! BESOS! BESOS!!
