It can probably be said that any good craft blogger is better off crafting than blogging, and that's just what I've been doing. I get super excited to start a project so I can share my mistakes and disasters with anyone willing to view em. It's cause I have no mom friends. *tear*
Because its been hella hot, my ass has stayed inside trying to keep sane under less than comfortable conditions. It's been 20 days straight of triple digit heat and these threads I've made are a chronicle of my time on the inside.
Some cargo yoga pants ( my new skill: making pants!), 3 pairs of shorts and an apron all made from scrap materials...
Pretty firme no?! I did get a call from my G'ma yesterday about the shorts My sister swooped (I showed you guys last time), telling me my zigzag sewing was far from a constructed garment. My sister came by and dropped all this CraftCrap off and in turn took those cowboy leopard shorts and a maxi skirt I had made too. Well G'ma scoffed at my work and gave me a scolding: ZIGZAG + SINGLE STITCH=Awesome Ever Time! I heeded her words of crafty wisdom and made some REAL Clothes. Go me!
I've got so much knit jersey material thanks to my Mom's jaunt to DWNTWN LA, Ill have my whole familia in maxi/ yoga something's in no time.
Upping my sewing skills and my wardrobe @ THE SAME DAMN TIME!!!
